About
Virtual Adaptive Sailing is an all-volunteer, nonprofit, community program operated by Peace Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The benefits of sailing based therapy and nature adventure rehabilitation are well documented but few organizations can fully utilize a sailing simulator. The goal for the sailing program is to provide community groups including local educators and medical professionals with access to the simulator. While sailing is an important component of this program, it is not the primary purpose. This program is focused on helping people to gain a sense of control and accomplishment, create personal connections through a shared experience and enrich overall quality of life.
